Board Member: Cynthia Simien



CYNTHIA SIMIEN

Board Member

Cynthia Simien is originally from Louisiana and relocated to Atlanta many years ago. Her professional career includes work with AT&T and IBM. In 2006, she earned certification from the Project Management Institute and has maintained it since. Cynthia also holds an MBA in Technology Management from the University of Phoenix.


Community and Organizational Involvement
Cynthia has been an active member of the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary Court 376 for 17 years. Over the years, she has held a range of leadership roles, including Grand Lady, Vice Grand Lady, Assistant Junior Daughter Counselor, and currently serves on the Board of Trustees. She is now in her second term as Faithful Captain for Archbishop James P. Lyke Chapter 43 Gracious Ladies and previously served as Inner Sentinel. Cynthia has contributed to numerous committees at the local, conference, convention, and conclave levels. She is currently serving as the Chair of Atlanta Intercity Zone 7.

Leadership Roles in Women's Organizations
In addition to her work with the Knights of Peter Claver, Cynthia serves as Parliamentarian for the Atlanta Archdiocesan Council of Catholic Women. She has previously held the positions of President, President-elect, and District President.
Parish Life and Volunteer Service


Cynthia is a parishioner at Christ Our Hope Catholic Church in Lithonia, GA, where she serves as Director of Religious Education. She also volunteers in several ministries within her parish community. She serves on the Board of Directors for Villa International an organization dedicated to serving the global health community by providing a warm, welcoming, affordable home away from home for international professionals training at Atlanta’s renowned public health institutions and universities.
