DR. KENDRA RUSSELL
Dr. Kendra Russell is a proud native of Macon, Georgia and serves as Professor and Director of Program Innovation and Evaluation in the Department of Nursing at Middle Georgia State University. With a clinical background in neonatal intensive care and pediatrics and more than 25 years in academia, she is deeply committed to improving maternal and infant health outcomes through education, research, and community engagement. Her scholarship has been published and presented at professional conferences, advancing evidence-based practices that positively impact families and communities.
Dr. Russell is actively involved in civic, service, and faith-based organizations that support and uplift the Macon community. She is a faithful member of the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary, Court #258, where she previously served as Grand Lady, and is a member of the Fourth Degree Ladies of Grace, Chapter 43. Through her graduate chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Rotary International, and service on the Macon-Bibb Citizen Advocacy Board, she works to promote advocacy, education, and community empowerment. Dr. Russell also serves as a sacristan at St. Peter Claver Catholic Church, reflecting her strong commitment to faith, service, and leadership.
