Janice Williams Taylor is a lifelong resident of Houston, Texas and the widow of Edward Reginald Taylor, proud mother of E. Desmond Taylor, a college student and Janell Dasha Taylor, a high school student. She is a graduate of Sam Houston State University and holds a Claim Law Associate from the American Education Institute and is a licensed Insurance adjuster. After 33 years of continuous service Ms. Taylor retired from Allstate Insurance in 2011. During her tenure at Allstate she served in several managerial and leadership positions and was responsible for facilitating and developing workshops and training modules. Ms.Taylor is actively involved in the Houston community where she serves as the Chaplain of the North Houston Chapter of Jack and Jill, Faithful Navigator of the Knights of Peter Claver Ladies of Grace, Inez Y. Bowman Chapter 2, Certified Catechist, Trainer and Youth Minister in the Archdiocese of Galveston Houston, Certified Voter Registration Deputy for Harris County, United Negro College Fund Teen Sponsor, Area Counselor for Knights of Peter Claver, Ladies Auxiliary and a volunteer with the National Buffalo Soldiers’ Museum. She is a member of St Mary of the Purification Catholic Church where she serves as a lector and volunteers with youth ministry. Ms Taylor is a Diamond Life member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority. |
